With the changes in social environment and human life style, as well as the increasing migration at home and abroad, various emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases appear continually and spread globally. In every major public health event, nosocomial infection prevention and control has been regarded as one of the most important part of epidemic prevention and control, from SARS to MERS, and from Ebola to COVID-19. There is now a growing realization that, as a medical receiving place for diseases, poor management of hospital infection will cause cross-infection and community transmission, with great burden on social and economic and waste of medical resources. Strong management and control of hospital infection is the premise of guaranteed medical quality and safety. In the context of vigorously advocating "high-quality development" and "developing of new productivity", how to manage prevention and control of hospital infection and internalize it as the conscious behavior of healthcare worker have become a common issue for medical institutions at all levels in our country.This course will systematically teach the basic theories, knowledge, skills, and the latest developments in hospital infection prevention and control, so that graduate students can understand the content, requirements, and key points, and help them fill the knowledge gaps.
